    OnStar - a good example of why we should READ those terms, conditions, and privacy notices

    The terms, conditions, and privacy policy/notice documents supplied by service providers contain valuable information to help consumers make informed choices about participation in various services and programs.  If you don't read them, how do you know what information is collected, and how it's protected, retained, used, or shared?  The most recent changes to the OnStar privacy statement are a good example of why it's important to read such notices.  See the links below for the story.
