    Patricia Nowak Takes the Oath of Office to become the Chief of Police at the Indiana University Northwest campus

    Nowak comes to the campus with 30 years of experience in law enforcement, the majority of which has been with the city of East Lansing, Mich.

    Nowak, who is the first female police chief at any IU campus, is responsible for 12 sworn officers and other personnel including several dispatchers. She also will serve on various university, local and state law enforcement committees and serve as liaison between the campus department and local municipal agencies and courts.
