Training and Agreement Tracking Tool

Why does IU need a training and agreement tracking tool?

One of the keys for achieving compliance in any area is the provision of initial and recurring employee awareness and training about the compliance requirements.

A university-wide tool has been purchased to house employee compliance training content and agreements that employees are required to assent to, and to track employee completion of training. Compliance staff throughout the university will use the tool to write content, import content created locally, or import content purchased from others. Those employees required to take certain training or assent to certain agreements are then notified to take the compliance by the due date via an email message. Reminders are automatically sent when employees have not yet completed required training. The system tracks completion of the training and provides the compliance staff with data to manage full compliance with the training requirements. The system may be set to require the training at certain recurring intervals, such as annually. Over time, as compliance sectors around IU migrate their content over to this system, employees will have one place to find all their training, and university-wide reporting capability on the state of training completion - especially compliance-related training - will be possible.
