Data Privacy Day — 2012
It was time for a refresher, to better understand how FERPA — the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act — applies to you, and how you can comply with the important rights it grants our students.
On Friday, January 27, Mary Beth Myers and Dennis Hicks explained what FERPA really is, and what it isn't. This session began with an overview, then presented real-life scenarios that will help you better understand how to comply with FERPA at IU. The event originated at IUPUI and was broadcast to all IU campuses.
