In this role, Chandler works to prepare the campuses for emergencies through development of policies, strategies, plans, and capabilities across the scope of emergency management and continuity for the campus.
Prior to joining IU in 2013, Chandler worked at the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, where he filled the roles of Emergency Preparedness Planner and Emergency Planning Section Chief. He served in the Indiana State Emergency Operations Center for five emergency activations -- including activation for the 2012 tornadoes in Henryville, Indiana.
