Brad Seifers began his role as the administrative lieutenant is the superintendent’s office in January, 2018. As administrative lieutenant, he is primarily responsible for managing the accreditation process and special projects. He also serves as an internal affairs investigator, a member of the personal security detail, and interim university director for Emergency Management and Continuity. He started his law enforcement career at Indiana University as a police cadet in 1993.

From 1995 to 2003 Brad worked for the City of Marion Indiana police department. From 2003 to 2018 he worked for the City of Bloomington police department and retired as a lieutenant. During his law enforcement career he has served as a sergeant and lieutenant in both patrol and detective divisions. He has also served The United States Army for more than 25 years and his current assignment is the brigade command sergeant major for the 219th Engineer Brigade headquartered in Johnson County, Indiana.
