IU’s Emergency Preparedness Certificate program will teach you valuable skills and provide resources to help you become more equipped to deal with a range of emergency situations.
The 10–20 hour, self-paced certificate program is free and available to all IU staff, faculty, and students through online courses and live webinars.
The trainings are relevant for all aspects of life—whether at work or play—and cover topics such as emergency preparedness 101, active aggressors, building an emergency kit, and fire extinguisher training.
After completing 6 required trainings, plus 4 electives of your choosing, you’ll receive a certificate at the end of the program. More importantly, you’ll come away more knowledgeable and prepared to act confidently in different types of emergencies.
