IUEHS has ergonomic display rooms on Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses that allow employees to view ergonomic products before they make their purchase. The display rooms are equipped with a variety of chairs, a Humanscale keyboard tray, a height-adjustable table, document holders, footrests, a Microsoft Natural Keyboard, and various mousing options. Regional campuses have chairs that are available for review by contacting the EHS representative for that campus.
EHS recommends an ergonomic assessment of the workstation prior to selecting an ergonomic office task chair or other products. Free consultations can be arranged by contacting the EHS industrial hygiene staff.
Employees or departments who will be purchasing a new chair are encouraged to contact IUEHS for their respective campus to be properly fitted for a chair that will accommodate them the best. It is recommended to always demo an ergonomic office task chair prior to purchasing.
