IUEHS has ergonomic display rooms on the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses that allow employees to view ergonomic products before they make their purchase. The display rooms are equipped with a variety of chairs, keyboard trays, height-adjustable workstations, document holders, footrests, and various keyboarding and mousing options. Regional campuses have chairs that are available for review by contacting the IUEHS representative for that campus.
IUEHS recommends an ergonomic assessment of the workstation prior to selecting an ergonomic office task chair or other products. Free consultations can be arranged by contacting the IUEHS industrial hygiene staff.
Employees or departments who will be purchasing a new chair are encouraged to contact IUEHS for their respective campus to be properly fitted for a chair that will best accommodate them. It is recommended to always demo an ergonomic office and/or laboratory task chair prior to purchasing.
