Introduction

Welcome and let me introduce myself. My name is K. Lee Stone and I hold a B.S. in Medical Technology from Purdue University and an M.S. in Toxicology from Indiana University School of Medicine. I am currently the Laboratory Safety Manager for IUPUI and serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer and Laser Safety Officer for the IUPUI and IUPUC campuses. I have several publications, over 24 years of laboratory experience and am certified by the National Association of Certified Chemists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. I also chair the IUPUI Laboratory Safety Committee and Co-Chair the IUPUI Research Continuity Subcommittee as well as serve on the IU School of Medicine IACUC, the IUPUI Safety Committee, the IUPUI Sustainability Committee and the VAMC Research Safety Subcommittee. I represent the staff of the IUPUI campus as the Second Vice-President of the IUPUI Staff Council where I chair the Membership Committee.
