- Starting pay for entry-level officer (Police Officer 3rd Class) -- $42,369.60, $20.37 per hour
- Officers are promoted to Officer 2nd Class after two years of law enforcement experience and at least an associate’s degree, or at 4 years of law enforcement experience and a high school diploma -- $44,907.20, $21.59 per hour. Lateral hires with comparable experience, but no campus law enforcement experience are also authorized to start at Officer 2nd Class.
- Officers are promoted to Officer 1st Class after 3 years of law enforcement experience, including 1 year of campus law enforcement experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6 years law enforcement experience, including 1 year campus law enforcement experience with a high school diploma -- Officer 1st Class pay starts at $49,878.40, $23.98 per hours and the maximum base pay for the position is $56,326.40, $27.08 per hour
