Indiana University Police Department’s bike safety program teaches children proper and safe bicycle riding methods by using hands-on participation and instruction, as well as some instruction from manuals.

Who can participate?
Any child is allowed to participate in the program.
How long does the training last and where does it take place?
The training session lasts 1–2 hours depending on the number of people participating. It takes place in a location with a large, flat, paved area that can be secured from motor vehicle traffic.
How much does the training cost, and is equipment provided?
There is no cost for the participant, and it is much more easily facilitated when each participant brings their own bike. All additional equipment required for the program is supplied by IUPD.
