The IU Police Department has numerous speciality areas that provide broad support to the IU community including a K9 unit, drone pilots, Honor Guard and motorcycle and bike units.

Drone pilots

IUPD drone pilot program uses cutting-edge technology to support the safety and security of IU campuses.

Honor Guard

The Honor Guard displays and escorts our national flag and represents the IUPD at public events.

K9 Unit

IU's K9 unit includes one therapy dog and two explosive detection dogs.

Motorcycle and bike units

IUPD's motorcycle and bicyle units support traffic enforcement and special events.
