ServSafe Food Protection Manager

Course description

This ServSafe Food Protection Manager course helps individuals new to food service understand the importance of food safety and how to ensure that their facility meets or exceeds food safety standards.  Per Indiana Retail Food Establishment Sanitation Requirements Title 410 IAC 7-26, food establishments must have a Certified Food Protection Manager who has shown proficiency of required information through a certificate as defined by IC 16-42-5.2-3.7, unless the establishment meets the criteria to be exempt.

This course will consist of book work, slide presentations, and some videos.  Attendees are expected to obtain their own copy of the training material ahead of time and perform a cursory review of the material.

Completing this one-day training and passing the exam provides food vendors the opportunity to ensure their operation maintains compliance with the Indiana Retail Food Establishment Sanitation Requirements (Title 410 IAC 7-26).

Parking is available in the the lot adjacent to the building. Do not park in any spots labeled ST (student).

Course fee: $100 (Does not include required materials)

Materials Needed:

• Must have a legal photo ID
• Two No.2 Pencils
• Notebook, if desired
• The ServSafe textbook and test answer sheet that comes with the book. Book must be pre-purchased and brought to the class.
