Infectious diseases are disorders caused by organisms — such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. Many organisms live in and on our bodies. While they are normally harmless or even helpful, they can sometimes cause disease under certain conditions. Some of these diseases are infectious and can be passed from person to person.
Once completed, influenza (or “flu”) planning will focus on continuity of services and functions while provididing guidance for making decisions and recommendations based on the severity of the situation to ensure the well-being of faculty, staff, and students.
