The IU Public Safety Education Center offers courses for law enforcement, environmental and public health officials, first responders, and emergency preparedness officials, phsyical security and safety personnel. Learn from experts in their field to take your training, certification, or career to the next level. 

Our mission is to empower public safety professionals through comprehensive, innovative training programs that emphasize excellence, and are relevant and realistic. We strive to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, ensuring that public safety professionals are equipped with the skills and knowledge to serve with the highest standards of professionalism.

Our students

Our students range from professionals who want to take their career to the next level to individuals who have a personal interest in safety. Many IU Public Safety Education Center courses are avialable to any adult, and enrollment in Indiana University is NOT required. There are some courses that are only eligible to sworn law enforcement officers. More information about who is eligible to enroll is available in the course description.
