The Indiana University Police Department is committed to offering opportunities for IU students, faculty, and staff to interact with our officers.
Each IUPD division works to develop a range of activities designed to increase engagment with the communities across the state that we serve. Ideas for activities often come through our Chiefs' Community Advisory Boards, which serve as a resource and connection between an IUPD division and the students, faculty, and staff on that campus.
Our Chiefs' Community Advisory Boards have four strategic objectives—awareness, communications, monitoring, and reporting.
The Chief's Community Advisory Board on each campus convenes regular meetings that are open to the public. These meetings serve to inform our campus communities of issues, trends, and programs taking place throughout the state.
Meetings are held the first Wednesday or each month at 9 a.m. with the exception of January 2025.
