Purpose
To state the Indiana University Police Department (IUPD) conducts a documented inspection and test of Indiana University’s emergency phones.
General Order
Indiana University has emergency phones installed on each campus that either transmit directly into the IUPD’s dispatch communications center or into the local public safety answering point. At the direction of the division’s senior leadership, the IUPD will conduct a documented inspection and test of each of these emergency phones at least quarterly.
Emergency phones that are malfunctioning or need any other type of maintenance will be reported to the appropriate University department for resolution.
