Purpose
To state the Indiana University Police Department (IUPD) will conduct a survey of community attitudes and opinions at least once every four (4) years.
General Order
The IUPD will conduct a survey of community members’ attitudes and opinions at least once every four (4) years. The survey will include the following, at minimum:
- Overall agency performance (12.3.3 a);
- Overall competence of agency employees (12.3.3 b);
- Community members’ perceptions of IUPD’s employees’ attitudes and behavior (12.3.3 c);
- Concerns over safety and security within the IUPD’s service area as a whole (12.3.3 d); and
- Recommendations and suggestions for improvement (12.3.3 e).
The sergeant for recruitment and retention will work collaboratively with Indiana University Public Safety’s organizational planning manager and communications manager in administering the survey.
The results will be provided to the superintendent for public safety, who will disseminate to others as appropriate.
