Purpose
To state that the Indiana University Police Department (IUPD) classifies and has the ability to recall incident and case report records by type and location.
General Order
The IUPD’s Records Management System (RMS) maintains all incident and case report records. Each incident and case report contains information regarding the type of incident and location. Inquiries and/or reports that may be generated from the RMS include, but are not limited to, incident search by type and location, and case report search by type and location.
Definitions
Incident – a record created in the IUPD’s computer aided dispatch.
Case Report – a record created in IUPD’s case management.
