Purpose
To provide the procedures and time frame for notifying the Indiana University Police Department’s (IUPD) chief executive officer of complaints.
General Order
As the IUPD’s chief executive officer, the superintendent for public safety will be notified of all complaints brought to the attention of the IUPD.
CEO Notification of Complaints (4.2.7)
All complaints received by the IUPD will be entered into the Professional Standards System (PSS). Once the form is completed, the PSS will send an automated notification informing the superintendent for public safety a complaint has been filed.
