Incidents are classified by public safety telecommunicators at the time the CAD entry is created, based on the details available at the time. Incidents are often fast moving and rapidly evolving, so CAD entries do not undergo the level of thorough review that is associated with the Clery Annual Security Report. Statistics from CAD data are not expected to match data in the Annual Security Report.
